11. Izaza Eyewear

It has been a rough journey for Space. Izaza has been struggling, especially once the busy summer season was over. Considering the rental cost in Long Street, Space has had no option but to close the store.

He is now seriously exploring one of the recommendations, the pop-up store, but first has to build up working capital in order to get stock.

“Demand is there”, he explains, “but now I need to cut down on overheads and I need to get stock”.

Space is very thankful for the Imperial College team’s contribution and feels bad about having to be the bearer of difficult news. “But this is not the end of Izaza”, he assures – rather, “when we come back it’s going to be exciting to relaunch the brand and I am looking forward to that”.
