6. Ntsoaki Tshaogang & Thabisong Early Learning Centre
In 2024, Ntsoaki participated in the GE programme for the second time—and her continued engagement has yielded tangible results. Despite experiencing a personal emergency on the day of our visit, involving her daughter’s unexpected hospitalization due to a car accident, Ntsoaki remained composed and graciously made time to speak with us once her child was out of danger.
Thabisong has seen a notable increase in learner enrolment this year, which Ntsoaki attributes to improved systems and professional development she gained through the GE programme. With over 140 children currently enrolled, the Centre continues to be a critical educational and developmental resource in the community.
Since her most recent participation in the programme, Ntsoaki has implemented a number of administrative improvements, including structured record-keeping, clearer staff roles, and streamlined processes for parent communication and learner monitoring. These changes have contributed to a more organized, responsive, and efficient environment for both staff and children.
Ntsoaki’s dedication to continuous learning and her commitment to quality early childhood education remain evident. Her leadership not only ensures Thabisong’s sustainability but also strengthens its impact in shaping the foundational years of many young children in the area.
