4. Glen Muleya & GM Eats
Arriving at GM Eats, we were immediately struck by the volume of customers lined up for dinner, illustrating the high demand for Glen Muleya’s food offerings. The bustling stall was a hive of activity, with Glen and his team working tirelessly to serve a steady stream of commuters grabbing meals before heading home. It was only after the rush subsided that Glen was able to step away and speak with us.
We relocated to a quieter spot nearby to hear Glen reflect on his journey. He credits the GE programme as a transformative force in his business growth: “I would never have opened the new branch in Sandton if it weren't for the input I received from the GE programme”, he says.
The success of GM Eats has enabled Glen to employ two additional staff members, an important milestone in his mission to contribute to local job creation. He emphasized that all the recommendations from the GE programme have been valuable, and he is intentionally rolling out their implementation in a phased manner.
Glen’s story is a compelling example of how practical, focused business mentorship can unlock real-world expansion, strengthen operational capacity, and drive meaningful economic impact in local communities.
