1. Nonhlanhla Mngomezulu & Thembalethu Community Creche

Nonhlanhla is a passionate entrepreneur dedicated to running a thriving daycare center, where she lovingly cares for and guides young children each day. However, her journey has been far from easy.

Recently, she’s had to navigate the harsh effects of load shedding and low power supply in her area, which have forced her to pause her small baking business—a crucial source of income that supported the daycare. On top of this, Nonhlanhla faced another major challenge: she suffered a foot stroke, which led to a hospital stay and a period of difficult recovery. Though she is still regaining strength, her resilience is unwavering.

Despite these hardships, Nonhlanhla has not given up. She is actively reaching out to fundraisers, knocking on doors, and seeking every opportunity to secure support for her business. Her dreams of obtaining her driver’s license have become a reality. Her plan is so that she can obtain a vehicle and transport the children herself, allowing for a more flexible, reliable service and increasing her income potential and school attendance.

Through every step, Nonhlanhla’s determination and courage shine, inspiring everyone around her as she fights for a brighter future.
